Symptom: M Start Error

Symptom: M Start Error

  1. Device Shows “M Start Error” on screen
    This indicates that the modem is not able to start up. This is generally caused by the connector at the bottom of the top green PCB being slightly disconnected. 
  1. Pull the fuses that supply voltage to the meter. Ensure that the meter is no longer energised. 
  2. Remove the 2 screws holding the bottom of the enclosure, and the top screw holding the top of the enclosure. Both bottom and top enclosure fittings can now be removed. 
  3. Remove the 4 screws visible on each corner of the top green PCB.
  4. Lift the top PCB up, and (when viewed from the original top orientation) on the top right hand side, on the bottom of the PCB will be a white ribbon cable with black connector. Remove and firmly reinstall this connector. 
  5. Reverse the above steps and energise the device to test.
